BOTTLE DRIVE!

Help give our Grade 5 students a memorable farewell by saving your empties for our upcoming Bottle Drive!

Date: Saturday, April 6, 2025

Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Location: KELSET Elementary Parking Lot

It’s no-sort and super easy—just pull up and drop off your bottles and cans!

All proceeds will go towards making the Grade 5 Farewell a special event for our grads.

KRISPY KREME DONUTS - GRADE 5 Fundraiser!​

A Message from the PAC Grade 5 Farewell Committee:

 

To all ḰELSET Grade 5 Families,

 

The Grade 5 Farewell Committee works to fundraise for special things that celebrate our students in their final year at ḰELSET. There are three key things:

 

HOODIES - With the generous support of the PAC and some sponsors, we aim to provide a special sweatshirt for each 5th grader. If your business would be willing to help sponsor the hoodies (and have your company name printed on the shirts), please reach out to the email below. We hope to have these ready for distribution by November so the kids can enjoy wearing them!

 

FIELD TRIP - The school plans a special field trip for Grade 5 students near the end of the school year. The last two years the field trip was at Wild Play.  This year the school is exploring different ideas, including a possible day trip to Camp Thunderbird.  These special field trips cost upwards of $2000 and we need to fundraise to help cover these costs. There may be an additional cost per family as well, depending on where the field trip is booked, transportation costs, etc.

 

CELEBRATION - In June the school organizes a Celebration Assembly for Grade 5 students and their families.  After the assembly, the PAC Grade 5 Committee invites the families and the gr. 5 students for refreshments to mark the end of their time at ḰELSET.

 

We need lots of help to fundraise the approximately $5000 to make these three things happen! We have been brainstorming some ideas which include:

 

  • Sponsors for our Hoodies

  • Bottle drives (hoping to set one up for October if we have support!)

  • Popcorn sales

  • Bake sales

  • Donut Sales

  • Hillside Night of Lights tickets

  • Halloween Event at Heritage Acres - Popcorn Booth (*only if we have someone spearhead this ASAP)
