Volunteers
"Many hands make light work."

All KELSET PAC events are parent-led and parent-driven. Without enough parents to take the lead, these events simply won’t happen. We are grateful to any parent willing to step up and volunteer their time to ensure our kids have fun and create lasting memories during their school years.

Here are some events that always appreciate any help you can offer. There’s no major commitment required—just join in and lend a hand whenever you can. Every bit of support helps!

For the 2024-25 school year, we need parents to step up and take charge of the Spring Fair and in-person Bottle Drives, as these roles are currently vacant.

  • Popcorn Days (Fridays at 2:15pm-3:15pm): parents help sell popcorn outside at Spiderclimber area. Short shifts of 30 mins.

  • Fun Lunch (Fridays at 11:10am): parents help distribute food to classrooms and place items on desks with name tags; shifts of 30 mins.

  • Bottle Drives - Usually on Sundays 10am-2pm; 1 hour shifts to help put cans/bottles into bigger bins as they are dropped off.

  • School Dances - organize DJ, manage and run concession to sell food

  • Spring Fair (biggest fundraiser of the year); requires parents to volunteer running games, selling food, setup/clean up.

  • 2024-25 YOUR IDEA! We are looking for new fun events and fundraising ideas.

We typically send out an email with a link to Sign Up Genius where volunteers can sign up for specific roles at our events.

Funds must be used for student-focused extracurricular activities, like field trips, sports equipment, and arts programs. The gaming account is kept separate from the PAC’s general funds, with strict reporting requirements to ensure compliance and maintain future eligibility.

  • Gaming Grant Received: $7,320.00

  • Sports equipment and playground maintenance

We Need Your Help to Keep This Momentum Going

The funds raised last year made a real difference in our children’s school experience, but we can’t do it alone. We urgently need more volunteers to keep these events, fundraisers, and programs running smoothly this year.

Whether you can spare a little time or take on a larger role, your help matters! Join us in making a positive impact at KELSET and ensuring that the fun and learning continue for our kids.

If you're interested in volunteering, please reach out to KELSET PAC (kelsetpac.ca) or attend our next meeting on Wednesday, November 13. Our success depends on people like YOU!

Thank you for your support!
