ḰELSET Halloween Boogie
Dear Parents,
Halloween is just around the corner, and we are excited to announce that we're busy planning a fun-filled Halloween event for the whole family.
Friday, October 30, 2026, 5:30–7:30 PM
Get ready for an evening of dancing, spooky surprises, delicious treats, 50/50 and plenty of Halloween fun.
What’s Happening
-
Dance Party: Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy some Halloween tunes.
-
Movie Room: Take a break from the excitement with a Halloween movie and FREE popcorn (while supplies last).
-
Arts & Crafts Room: Looking for something quieter? Get creative with Halloween-themed activities.
-
Bake Sale: Pick up some delicious homemade goodies. All proceeds support future PAC events.
-
Family Pre-Carved Pumpkin Contest: Show off your Halloween masterpiece (one entry per family).
-
Adult Costume Contest: Adults, it’s your turn! Come in your most creative, funniest, spookiest or downright outrageous costume.
-
50/50 Draw: Don’t forget to enter for your chance to win some extra cash.
-
LIMITED Concession Stand: Pizza, hot dogs, snacks and drinks for purchase (limited quantities are available - pre-order through Munchalunch instead!).
NEW This Year: Food Pre-Orders
We’re excited to offer food pre-orders through Munchalunch. This helps our volunteers plan and reduces food waste. Concession items will be limited on the day of the event, so we encourage you to pre-order to avoid disappointment and get your favourites.
-
Orders open: Wednesday, October 21 at 11 AM
-
Orders close: Tuesday, October 27 at 5 PM
-
Sorry, no late orders will be accepted.
Arriving at the Event
-
Please use the school’s main entrance.
-
All families will check in at the registration table, then feel free to explore the activities at your own pace.
-
Pumpkin contest: Register your pre-carved pumpkin at the pumpkin registration area at the front entrance between 5:30 and 6:30 PM. Bring it with you to the gym to put on display. Please take your pumpkin home after the contest so you can enjoy it for Halloween!
-
Bake sale donations: Cookies, cupcakes, brownies or your favourite homemade treats are all welcome. Please drop them off in the Multipurpose Room the night of the event.
We Need Volunteers
None of this would be possible without our amazing volunteers! If you’re attending, we ask that you volunteer for 30 minutes (please and thank you). We need help with setup, activities, food concessions, games, cleanup and more, and we’re happy to match you with something that suits your availability and interests.

Giving Back
-
Cash Donations to PAC: Optional donations will be accepted at the door to support future school events. Donations are completely voluntary and not required for entry or participation. We want every family to feel welcome.
-
Food bank: In the spirit of giving, we’ll gladly accept non-perishable food donations for the local food bank.
-
Decorations: We’re looking for items to donate or borrow to decorate the school:
-
Halloween decorations and inflatables
-
String/fairy lights
-
Black garbage bags
-
Email kelsetpac@gmail.com and we’ll coordinate pickup and return of borrowed items. Every little bit helps!
Keeping Our Event Safe & Fun
-
Children must stay with a parent or responsible adult throughout the event.
-
Former ḰELSET students are welcome when attending with younger siblings and family, or when helping out as volunteers.
-
Due to space limitations, the event is open to ḰELSET school families only.
Thank you to all of our wonderful families for helping make this event a success. Whether you donate, lend decorations, volunteer, bring a pumpkin, enter a contest or simply come out and enjoy the evening, we appreciate your support.
We can’t wait to celebrate Halloween with everyone!
